Rockville, Maryland, resident Robert Bratt possesses nearly 35 years of experience managing multimillion-dollar legal programs in the commercial and government sectors. During his career, Robert Bratt has demonstrated efficiency and innovation in solving complex issues involving budgetary matters, development, implementation, negotiation, and delivery of large government programs. After 22 years of working as an executive officer with the federal Department of Justice (DOJ), Robert Bratt applied his abilities towards the private sector in management positions at the Science Application International Corporation (SAIC) and the Unisys Corporation.
Since 2010, Robert Bratt has worked as the chief operating officer and Executive Director of U.S. Operations for global law firm DLA Piper. His day-to-day responsibilities include managing some 30 U.S. offices and coordinating their operations uniformly with the firm’s international standards of service delivery. Immediately prior to joining DLA Piper, Mr. Bratt operated as the Managing Partner of Unisys Corporation’s Civilian and Homeland Security practice. In this role, he oversaw a division with revenues of $650 million and an employee and contractor base exceeding 2,000 personnel. He focused on increasing profitability, on creating a more efficient way to deliver services, and on supporting a variety of mission-critical government programs.
Bob Bratt also served as a managing partner of the Unisys Civilian Services Sector and as a lead civilian partner engaged in directing sales and management for the company’s State, DOJ, Labor, Treasury, and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) units. He received the Unisys 2007 Partner of the Year Award for his work specifically with the DOJ group, for which he increased sales by more than 600% within five years. Bob Bratt came to the Unisys Corporation from SAIC, the latter of which he joined in 2000 as vice president of the Telcordia Technologies subsidiary. After three years of leading software development and delivery at Telcordia, Bob Bratt accepted a promotion to Corporate Vice President with SAIC, a position in which he managed multimillion-dollar federal and commercial telecommunications projects
